FLAGSHIP PROJECT: 1998 CANNONDALE CAAD3 RESTOMOD

This project, while one of many, has definitely been my pride and joy. I have a particular obsession with Cannondale bikes, simply because they are just cool. The first iteration of the CAAD came out in the early 90s, and are still made to this day. However, there was something about these early CAAD models that just mesmerized me. So, I naturally went hunting around facebook marketplace and after countless hours of searching, I found this thing. My favorite color in perfect condition, so I hopped in the car and drove 3 hours from Austin to Dallas. That is where my journey in bikes began.

I had a vision for what I wanted this bike to become, so I slowly started acquiring parts, and learning how the bike works through disassembly/reassembly. Long story short, I ended up fitting it with a new, full Shimano 105 groupset and carbon wheels. I built the bike myself, and ended up using it to race for The University of Texas at Austin's cycling team for a season. Bikes are cool, man.
